The Islamic Center of Riverside is the oldest purpose built masjid in the Inland Empire area in California. Designed by architect Shakil Patel and built in 1979 the masjid offers many programs and services to the community year round. Friday jumma prayers attract over 1,000 worshipers every week. The masjid has a very strong and close working relationship with its neighbors, the local community leaders, public officials and known for its interfaith efforts with an welcoming atmosphere.
